Honeysuckle and white peach-suffused nose remains quite fresh if somewhat exotic and without much in the way of obvious Chablis character. The seductive and ultra-rich flavors coat the mouth with sap though despite the concentration there is still reasonably good verve to the slightly warm finale. BH 90
One of the fines examples of this cuvee to date. The opulent sumptuous and downright sexy 2014 CVR wine gives up loads of black currants, kirsch, licorice, toasted spice, dried herb aroma and flavors. Full-bodied, gorgeously textured, round and just about hedonistic as it get.
(73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot & 3% Malbec)
Perfumy and Stylish, with rooibos tea, blood orange and cherry aroma and flavors weaving through, infused with sandalwood, anise, bay leaf, sage and pepper notes along the way.
(70% Grenache, 14% Syrah, 15% Mourvedre, 1% Cinsault)
Deep purple-black in color, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon springs from the glass with lifted crème de cassis, violets and chocolate box notes plus hints of lilacs, raspberry leaves, anise and cardamom. The perfumed black fruit preserves and chocolate-laced notes completely pack the full-bodied palate, with soft, velvety tannins and just enough freshness, finishing very long and very spicy. Definitely one for hedonists seeking immediate gratification.
